Bali Pass Trek

Details

Drive from Dehradun to Sankri Village (approx. 200 km / 8–9 hours by booked vehicle). Sankri is a beautiful Himalayan village and the base camp for many treks in the region. Altitude: 6,300 ft. Overnight stay in guesthouse/homestay.
Drive from Sankri to Taluka (12 km). Begin the trek from Taluka to Seema village (12 km trek). The trail passes through dense forests and traditional Himalayan villages. Altitude: 8,400 ft. Overnight camp.
Trek from Seema to the beautiful alpine meadow of Devsu Bugyal (13 km trek). Enjoy scenic views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks and lush meadows. Altitude: 10,990 ft. Overnight camp.
Trek to the stunning Ruinsara Tal, a high-altitude glacial lake surrounded by majestic mountains (8 km trek). Altitude: 11,811 ft. Overnight camp near the lake.
A short but gradual ascent trek from Ruinsara Tal to Thanga or Odari campsite (4 km trek). This is an important acclimatization day before the pass crossing. Altitude: 13,123 ft. Overnight camp.
Trek to Bali Pass Base Camp (8 km trek). The landscape becomes more rugged with spectacular high-altitude views. Altitude: 15,348 ft. Overnight camp.
Early morning trek to Bali Pass (16,240 ft) and cross the pass. After enjoying breathtaking views of peaks like Bandarpoonch and Swargarohini, descend towards Lower Dhamni campsite (14 km trek). Overnight camp.
Trek from Lower Dhamni to Janki Chatti (6 km trek, trek ends at 8,694 ft). From Janki Chatti, drive back to Dehradun (approx. 190 km / 7–8 hours).
This day is kept as a buffer day for weather delays or emergencies during the trek.
