Nestled amidst the snow-capped peaks of the Garhwal Himalayas, the Panch Kedar Yatra is a sacred pilgrimage that takes devotees on a spiritual journey to the five revered shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva. These ancient temples, collectively known as the Panch Kedar, hold not only religious significance but also showcase the mesmerizing beauty of the Himalayan landscapes.

Kedarnath:  The journey commences at Kedarnath, the holiest of the Panch Kedar shrines and one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. Perched at an altitude of 11,755 feet, the Kedarnath temple is surrounded by majestic peaks and holds a special place in the hearts of Shiva devotees.

Rudranath:  The trek then leads to Rudranath, where Lord Shiva’s face is worshipped. Situated at an altitude of 7,500 feet, the temple is enveloped in serene meadows and offers panoramic views of the Nanda Devi and Trishul peaks.

Madhyamaheshwar:  The third stop is Madhyamaheshwar, where Shiva is venerated in the form of the navel. The trek to Madhyamaheshwar is a spiritual odyssey through lush forests and pristine landscapes, providing a tranquil setting for contemplation.

Tungnath:  Tungnath, the highest Shiva temple in the world, is the fourth destination. Perched at an elevation of 12,073 feet, it offers breathtaking views of the Himalayan ranges. The trek to Tungnath is a captivating ascent through alpine meadows.

Kalpeshwar:  The pilgrimage concludes at Kalpeshwar, where Shiva is worshipped in the form of Jata (hair). Accessible through a trek amidst thick forests, Kalpeshwar provides a serene atmosphere for meditation and devotion.
